About this piece:

This painting was part of my summer homework for art school. I was supposed to practice painting from life. I wanted to paint this paper mache devil I got from the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago. To set up an interesting composition I decided to keep with the Mexican theme and add a margarita and limes!
